Hi, we've introduced a large, bulky product that's nearly 39 Lbs.

We'd like to configure accurate split shipping calculations for UPS and USPS, since we can pack only a few, smaller items into that same box with the heavy item.

We tried adding the following to includes.php:

$splitpackat=42;

Our Cart's accurate UPS Ground shipping estimates for the heavy item, and for a standard item that must be shipped separately, are:

UPS Ground for 38.9 Lb item shipped alone: $42.94
UPS Ground for 5.5 Lb Item shipped alone: $16.24

TOTAL: $59.18

Without splitpackat configured, the Cart prices shipping in one box and returns too low a UPS estimate of $45.56.

However, with splitpackat configured, the Cart seems to overprice UPS shipping at $67.96.

I'm guessing that the function ignores individual product weights, splits the shipment into two packages of 22.2 Lbs each, and so returns too high an estimate.

Can anyone suggest a workaround to return more accurate split shipping estimates?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Paul

I'm sorry but I can't see a workaround for that, maybe someone can come up with a bright idea but I'm not seeing it.

Andy
