Good evening,
When an item is needed to be included in more than one category (section) the item can I believe be cloned.

The new item will require the productID to be modified.

Is there a "Best way/Method" to do this for tracking at a later date?

Thanks for any help.
John

Hi, open the product and down under image management, you will see additional sections.
You can assign a product to as many categories there as needed.

Thanks,
David

Thanks Dave,
My point is, is there a usual method (convention) for renaming what is used as a Reference Number?

Hi John, I don't think so. For my website, we often use our suppliers product ID as the reference number.

Back to your original post, I think you would run into problems by having two different product ID's for the same product. At the very least it would cause confusion.

Thanks,
David

Thanks David,
Yes I understand the point,
"Two different product ID's for the same product"
That's cleared this for me very well!

Regards

John
