Im in the process of upgrading my site to your responsive template i purchased

So mirrored my old site v7.0.4 on a new domain first with a duplicate DB and was all working ok, i then got deleted all the files and uploaded the new template changing the DB config to the duplicate DB I got a 500 - Internal server error. on the default page

So I updatedmystore with V7.3.2 but it wouldn't allow it : got this error

How about removing everything from the test site and starting again. Get to the point where everything is working ok and then instead of deleting anything, just copy the new updater files and run the updatestore.asp file. It may be that you've removed something important.

Ok so going off your reply on the test site I have got my existing site back up and updated the DB with the latest updater and all worked fine, so this site is in a separate folder remotely now

putting the new responsive site files and folders onto the remote site! still brings up the 500 - Internal server error.

I then changed the DB config so it's connecting to the updated existing Db which does work and it's still throwing up the

500 - Internal server error. so its something in the new responsive files

Have you got the details of the error for the "500 - Internal server error", or are you saying it is the same as before?

I managed to recreate this error and it would be because you are using a mySQL database but do not have the...
mysqlserver=TRUE
...parameter set to indicate that it is a mySQL database you are using. Can you check if that's the case? The best place to set this parameter is in the db_conn_open.asp file along with the database connection itself.
