What's the difference between the ASP and PHP versions?

This depends on what type of server your host runs. If they have a Windows server, you will require the ASP / Access database version. There is also support for MS SQL Server. If they run a Unix or Linux server then you will need the PHP / mySQL database version. If in doubt just ask your host, or drop us a mail with details of your hosting plan and we will let you know. We have some hosting suggestions here.

Can the graphics and colors be changed on the templates?

We believe that we've set up the designs to make any changes as simple as possible. All of the templates come with .png files which can be easily edited in Marcromedia Fireworks and most of the colors are simply cell backgrounds. Blank graphics are available to add your own text to. There is also an accompanying text file regarding font and css information.

Can I use the ecommerce templates for just the database features?

It's quite simple to remove the buy / checkout buttons as well as the price if necessary so the ecommerce templates could easily be adapted for use with other types of sites, such as general catalogs, real estate listings etc. Here's an explanation of how. All the store generated text can be edited in one file.

How difficult are the stores to set up?

We've tried to include as much documentation as possible, both on the design side and regarding the store set up itself - the store set up is pretty simple, set the path to your database, add your products through the admin section and hopefully you'll up, running and selling in no time.

Can I use a Mac to work on an ecommerce template?

You certainly can. You can design the site locally, upload it to your server and then add the products through the online admin.

Are upgrades available?

We offer 6 months of free upgrades from the time of purchase. These can be obtained from our updaters page by just entering the email address you purchased with.

Notification of upgrades is made through our mailing list and support forum.

Do you offer technical support?

We give 6 months full and free technical support through our online support forum. If you need your database connecting or your site setting up, we offer both these services in our ecommerce tools section.
