Welcome to the April edition of the Ecommerce Templates Newsletter where we are pleased to announce the arrival of v7.5 and v7.4 becoming the new Stability Version. We've highlighted the Accessibilty updates that are part of v7.4 but this release has so many other great new features it's hard to know where to start.
The v7.4 release is now the new Stability Release so for those that prefer an easy life, now is the time to update. This release will now just receive bug and security fixes with new features being added to v7.5
v7.4 has had many, many great new features added as well as all the latest bug fixes, security fixes and enhancements to make sure your store runs smoothly so it's well worth updating if you haven't already done so.
Accessibility really is a big deal for many reasons. Firstly as I'm sure you would like your sites to be open and navigatable for those who need a little extra help. Secondly as it means you have a greater number of customers who can view your products. And finally because more and more websites are becoming subject to legal action when they do not have the necessary Accessibility changes incorporated. The final major feature for the v7.4 line was to adapt the cart output as per the guidelines of the WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool.
All these changes are included in the v7.4 updater.
v7.5 has hit the ground running and the first major new feature is the ability to ship order lines individually, marking items shipped, setting Tracking Numbers and sending out Order Status Emails. View what's coming and what is already included in v7.5 in this forum here...
Some people like to have control over the update process and it's as simple as copying the files and running the script in your browser.
