The v7.8.0 updater is now available for ASP / PHP.

Please note that you can upgrade from any previous version to the latest version in just one go! You don't have to install all updaters between your version and the current version.

The v7.7 updater is now the Stability Release and the v7.8 the Advanced Release. Please only update to v7.8 if you require specific features of this release as bug and security fixes will continue to be added to the Stability Release.

With the v7.8 release you can now mix video and images for your products and the system will automatically detect video files with extension:

avi
mov
mpe
mpg
mpeg
mp4
webm
wmv

Please note, this does not apply when using Magic Toolbox image display scripts.

We've released a Hotfix today to resolve the following issues...

When using the PayPal Express flow with PayPal Checkout, if the order is substantially above the estimate then problems could occur when trying to re-authorize the higher amount. As the customer is not aware of this, this is a really important fix.
Please note that when using PayPal Express, in order for the shopping cart to be able to give a reasonable estimate of shipping you really should have the shipping estimator enabled. Also, some shipping services need to know the state / county destination in order to estimate shipping and you can set a default for this (usually your home state / county) using this parameter...

For the UK that would be for instance...
defaultshipstate="Kent"
$defaultshipstate="Kent";
Once set you should check that on the first checkout page you automatically get a shipping estimate without having to select a shipping state. It's a good idea to do this in a new browser window as shipping calculated in the estimator is cached.

Also with PayPal Checkout we've improved the notification when a payment source is rejected.

This fix has also been applied to the v7.7 updater.

We've released a Hotfix today to resolve the following issues...

A bug in the product detail page script can cause incorrect URLs for products in any cross sell features, previous / next items and so on.

Files affected:
vsadmin/inc/incproddetail.php
vsadmin/inc/incfunctions.php

This fix doesn't apply to the v7.7 updater.
