I have a couple products I do not ever want to discount, they are already discounted, and would like the option to Exempt any Discounts on certain products.

I 2nd this one....
Some manufacturers are adding to their MAP policies that no visible discounts can be shown on their products. Or no discounts, period. (Getting a bit much in my opinion....)

Well now that I'm adding Gift Cards to the site I could really use a fix or a hack to discount exempt the gift cards ....

In the discount / coupon admin there are four scope options. Would the first option 'Assign to individual products / categories' be the one to do the trick? I haven't ever set up a discount/coupon so apologies if this isn't what's required

I'm biting the bullet and getting this done ... it's a pain with this many products, it would be a bunch simpler if the CATS had a Quick Entry for Discounts :)

I am pretty sure Mike csv utility lets you assign discounts to products. http://dlss.ca/proddetail.asp?prod=Adv_Product_CSV It is extremely powerful. I have almost all of his csv utilities. So for 35 bucks, you can do this in a few minutes.  |

After assigning to individual products and running a promo coupon over the weekend I realized that unless the customer purchased 5 of the same shirt to get up to the threshold of $150 per order, the code won't work correctly. The only scope that works for me is the Storewide to product Totals, but then all products are fair game to both discounts and coupons.
