Product Side Filter makeover

Posted - 03/30/2017 : 17:35:44 I am looking to have the product side filter for ECT modified as it is very antiquated as it currently is. Ultimately, would like to have check boxes and customers can check how they want to narrow down search results. The current product filter is very limited and antiquated. Looking for a programmer/developer who is interested in upgrading the feature for us. Thanks

Posted - 04/02/2017 : 06:57:46 I think that the ability to use check boxes so that the side filter results could be more refined would be awesome. Currently the side filter only allows for one choice in each section which could be improved by allowing multiple choices (in each section) using check boxes. That would be a big improvement. Vince Administrator 42750 Posts	Posted - 06/28/2018 : 09:14:35 Hi All We've completed a major makeover for the side filter now and checkboxes are available along with the possibility to make more than one selection per group in order to add to the items that are displayed. When making selections you can choose to keep all other attributes (allowing you to extend selections) or remove attributes with zero products. The current system of automatically displaying hidden attributes in long lists can be replaced with a button/link/image to display more. The side filter has also had more of the style attributes added to the ectcart.css style sheet, along with several optimizations and so produces more efficient code. Our normal policy is to provide updates for all products for those that have their a current support period. However in this case, as it's been a lot of work developing the new side filter we are going to sell this separately as the Side Filter 2 at a slightly higher price. We hope you all understand. The Side Filter 2 will be compatible with the new v6.9.3 version which will be released shortly. It's also set to show attributes with no products which is an optional setting. Andy Please feel free to review / rate our software
