Hi we sell a large and very heavy item on our website. It is a Heavy Duty Safe as shown below. http://www.lockout-tagout.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=XX-Large-Dual-Security-Digital-Combination-and-Key-Safe
Is it possible for a "special delivery cost" to be added to this product when a buyer adds it to the Cart. e.g £125.00 (GBP) ? We have a "Orders over £90 GBP" with free delivery but this item costs us over £125 to deliver, so it needs to be an exception. We will inform the buyer on the product page of this delivery cost but need the website to add it.
In the admin products page you can mark products as Free Shipping Exempt - that would get round the problem of offering free shipping on this particular product.
Thanks for that, but how do I also set a specific shipping price for certain products. For instance for ANY orders under £90, shipping costs "£X" (domestically). But I want this product to cost "£Y" to ship, can I do this for individual products or can you only do this via changing all shipping costs on the website?
We are currently using price based shipping and have it set as everything up to 999999 costs £7.95 to ship. And then we have free shipping for all orders over £90 set up in discounts. However we want to change the cost of only one item to ship.
The only way I can see of doing that is to set that item to shipping exempt and free shipping exempt and then have the shipping cost as a forced product option.
