Is there a way to change the verbiage on the checkout page regarding the PayPal checkout? I would like to add a line something like this:

[i]You may use your credit card through the PayPal gateway

Some customers are very anti-PayPal and don't understand how it works. I feel that this line might help them understand that they can use their credit card and don't need an account with PayPal. If there is a way to change that, where might I change it?

Any other suggestions are welcomed!

Hi Jennye

You could add something like this to your vsadmin/includes.php file

$GLOBALS['xxMstClk']='You must click below to complete the checkout process. <br>You may use your credit card through the PayPal gateway';

and that will show on the checkout screen after they have checked totals and check out.

That worked for the final page, but I would like to add it to this page:

Hi Jennye, you can setup the checkout steps as outlined here https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/shopping-cart.asp#cart3 and use your on text or change the show as text in the payment provider from PayPal Gateway to something like Paypal No Account Required.

I tried your suggestion, however, it's all greek to me! I have no idea how to change the PayPal Gateway verbiage. The tutorial was confusing. I suppose it's all in the language file?

Hi you can change that in the admin under payment provider click modify on Paypal and change the show as text to what you need. Using checkout steps is another method each checkout step shows at the top of the cart page.

Sinbad, what did you mean by: Using checkout steps is another method each checkout step shows at the top of the cart page.

I tried that per the tutorial, but it was too large and moved the center section down. And yes, I used Notepad++, it's simply that the overall design of the steps would be too large for the area. After looking at it, I decided that it cluttered up the top unnecessarily. Your design looks great just the way that it is. Thanks!
