We attempted to void a PayPal charge, it asked if we wanted to inform PayPal. We checked yes. This was a week ago, neither our PayPal account or the customer's PayPal account show any voids. What steps are we missing in order to do this? Thanks!

Hi Jennye,

You typically have 29 days to capture the payment or void the order, or it will automatically expire

Log in to your PayPal account and click Activity at the top of the page.
Find the pending order and click Void.
Review the void authorization, leave a note for the buyer if you’d like, then click Continue.
Review the information displayed on the screen and click Confirm to finish voiding the authorization.

In your admin view orders you can then set the status to Cancel.

This information was very helpful. It seems that PayPal does all the heavy lifting, so why do we have to "inform" PayPal when we can just go into the PayPal dashboard and take care of it? They also sent out a nice email advising of the refund. I appreciate the link, it's easy to follow!
