I'm having an issue when creating a new product and attempted to add an image I receive the following error.
Hmmm...can’t reach this page Try this Make sure you’ve got the right web address: http://www.****.com Search for "http://www.****.com" on Bing Refresh the page Details
This site has been live for more than a year and I have never had this problem before. No changes to the site were made on the server.

../doupload.php?defimagepath=prodimages/
It worked a week ago with no issues I have checked permissions on the folder and they are correct.
Thanks

Sorry for the delay I'm using 0777. I even tried reapplying the permissions to over write everything.

It's not that then. Another possibility is that something has changed on the server, maybe mod security related that is stopping the uploading of files. It might be worth checking with your host to see if they changed anything around the time the image upload stopped working. Andy Please feel free to review / rate our software

Hi John, nothing special for the image upload to work, but like Andy mention something may have changed on the server can you let you host know the error and if they can check if there is any mod security feature blocking it. Im running the site on go daddy and they had changed their Mod Security Rules recently. They said the doupload file is using a base.64 to upload the images and they block it because of issues with it being exploited by spam. They said they would be unable to make an exception and that the code would have to be changed.

Hi John, that doesn't sound quite right furthermore there are tons of Ecommerce Templates users on Godaddy and they are not having this issue. The only access to the file is by login with user name and password it can not be browsed directly without login can you try pushing them on this. You can even give them a link to the file and ask them if they can access it http://www.yourdomain.com/vsadmin/doupload.php I would give you a couple of sites I know of on GD without the issue but they might get the idea to block them Winners never quit, quitters never win CSS and Responsive DesignsUser Manual for Ecommerce Templates

I just spent an 1:30 on the phone with their admins and they said its because of the doupload file the site got flagged and once its flagged they cannot override it. They were willing to migrate the site to another server but it would only temporary fix the problem as it could be flagged again. I did explain how other sites are working on their servers and they said it could be a matter of time before they alway get flagged. I hope this helps with future troubleshooting something to look out for going forward as this change was recently made to Go Daddy.

Hi John Thanks very much for letting us know. If the feature is important to you it might be worth considering changing hosts to someone who will support that and not turn off features without your consent. I can recommend the services of www.servelink.com as a very good alternative. Andy Please feel free to review / rate our software

Im not sure that recommending a host company that still allows that security issue is the answer. Perhaps updating the image manager to use a less exploitable protocol would be a better resolution?
When it gets late at night, go to bed... try again tomorrow.

Thank you.... this explains the problem I've been having. We're also on GoDaddy. Can you fix it? John

Do you know of an offline applet which will do the auto resizing and renaming?
