The Dreamweaver template sets up links like this: <a href="../index.php">

Then when you save the template file, and it updates the site pages, it converts the link to this: <a href="index.php">

What I don't understand is... why not just set up the link in the templates file like this: <a href="index.php"> to begin width?

I tried this and everything seems to work right.

Am I missing something?

Hi Bob

It's best use ../index.php as the dwt file is in the /Templates/ folder and you are telling the link to look one level up for the page linked to.
