Ecommerce Plus PHP v6.7.3
Hello,
We have used this software for 7 years. We have thousands of items, options, modifications, etc, so we don't believe that it is in our future to dump this platform and go to another. The one largest issue we have seems to be one that others don't consider a problem, or have hokey solutions to for one reason or another. We get approx. 15% of our orders online through the web site. www.Alkydigger.net . We generate most orders in the "Back Office" . We are in a very "custom" business where many times we are billing out items which don't exist in our sku database. This will never change, and we do not use a strict inventory control, ( although we want to do that as well someday) . In any event, the most clumsy, time consuming daily problem we have is the less than Seamless way of building an order in the back office and then collecting the money. The way it happens with us is the customer calls, and we eventually figure out what we need to do to make their race car work.
They then give us contact info, Credit /debit card information, and we proceed to build their order. Here is what we are hung up on. At this point, we have entered all their data: Name , address, phone, e mail, details, etc etc. Now, in order to get payment, we have to go out of our back office, go log into PayPal ( our credit card processor) and re enter all the same data again to perfect a payment. Now, of course, there is no connection of their payment with the order #, or invoice. We NEED it to be more similar in the back office to how it is when the customer goes onto our site and buys item themselves. It could be a link that resides in the back office, or a complete integration that moves directly into PayPal from the order program in the back office. This problem costs us about 10-15 minutes per transaction, and depends on memory to remember if we actually got payment , or part payment ( most cards don't allow for more than one $1500 transaction a day, and many
of our orders are over $4000 ) . we want a modification that will allow for payment to be obtained from the back office, per each order, or invoice. Can you help ?

What if you could send an automated email from the admin with a link for them to use your make a payment feature and let the customer handle making the payment via your website.
This is what we do and I have developed a few simple mods that make it easy to generate a URL with a querystring that you email the customer and it has a link that will populate the make a payment feature and take them right into the cart.

The thing is you are in the .asp forum here and you made the same post in the .php mods forum.
So which is it? are you on .asp or .php?

I could only offer help with .asp versions.

Why do you need to process thru the back office?

We setup custom packages, once you know what the customer needs, add a custom package as a product:

Reference: Package-Smith-001 \ Section: Packages \ Prod Name: Sam Smith Package-001 \ Price $4000

Down in the Description area, enter all of the products used in the package.

After the product package is saved, search for it in the Front end of the store and process the order.

You can even have a generic prod package if you don't need to list all of the parts in the package and just change the price and process.
