Is there a way in the Product Admin >> product options >> Option Style >> Multiple Purchase >> Price Diff % - to change it from having to first calculate and enter the percentage, to just entering either the difference in price or the total price with that option?
I tried using $absoptionpricediffs=TRUE; (of course, using the right syntax with $GLOBALS), but it still required me to enter the percentage of the difference, and not the price difference or actual price.
Thank you,

HI Mensa, to show just the difference input the about in the column, to do by percentage check the box next to Price Diff % and input the percentage amount. So don't check the box if you only want a flat amount. Winners never quit, quitters never win CSS and Responsive DesignsUser Manual for Ecommerce Templates

Leaving the % checkbox unticked and adding say 25 to the price diff column adds the monetary value to the option. Checking the box adds the value in the price diff column as a %age

Hi 1818 Charlie and Sinbad,
Thank you for your responses. That is just too easy! - and unfortunately, I couldn't find any documentation on it before I opened this discussion.
I do have another question:
From the customer view, when we are using the Multiple Purchase option and showing the total price, the base price of the item does not show up next to the unaltered option item, just a quantity box next to the item option text. All of the other options also show the price. I can see this is beneficial when it is only the difference in the price, however, when showing the total price, this may be confusing to some customers.
Is there a way to also show the base price next to the unaltered option?
Thank you,

I am having problems getting the % difference to work - it was fine with a straight dollar adder, but I want to use percentage.
I have a product option for something akin to an extended warranty. One option costs 25%, the other 30%, with a default of none, so three total. I click the Price Diff % box and underneath enter 0, 25, and 30 down the column. As mentioned, if I deselect Price Diff % and enter numeric values, it works.
I need to mention that I have two other product options assigned. One is a "buy now" if someone wants to buy at list price as opposed to getting a quote, and the other is a feature that costs more money. What I desire to have is the percentage applied to either just the buy now price, or the buy now price plus the feature. I can provide the link if you want to view it.
The product option choice I have not yet investigated is the "options/values" vs "options/alternates" vs "dependent options" because I did not see them in the manual.
Thank you, Steve

Sure - use this product: https://www.i-cubeinc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=Pearl-2+Portable
Choosing Buy Now is the first thing to do, and if people choose 4K addon I want that to be upcharged also. The % Diff items are the third selection, SupportPlans. One possible hint is that when choosing product options the drop-down will show an amount, neither of these do.
Thanks Andy, Steve

I think I see the problem there - the product price is zero, isn't it? The percentage for the options will be taken from that rather than any other options that have been selected. That's why a flat fee works but a percentage appears not to. Andy Please feel free to review / rate our software

I had an issue where some prices were set to zero and adjusting with options from there. For me, it was my google shopping ads, and they were rejecting these products because the price was zero.
What I did was set the product price to the lowest product option, then adjust option pricing from there. But with percentages, I suppose that might be tricky.

OK thanks guys - still confusing and doesn't, at least now, seem to give me what I want. If I set the price to the "buy now" price so it is not zero, the percentages are based on that. If I add the 4K option then one of the SupportPlans, it doesn't add the 4K option and calculate that percentage. I'll have to experiment and see if there is another way to offer the options I want to.
Dave, I don't see how the way you did it would work for me, as it is not necessary to order an option.
