A client contacted me today, letting me know that during the last two weeks the shipping charges are much higher than used to be. The client and I reviewed all weights during the last two days and the items have the correct weight in decimals of ounces set. U.S.P.S shipping is set and the code from the post office is at the right place. Previously the calculated shipping was reasonable. I compared with an older order from zip 01824 to zip 46171 shipping was $9.32 for a package with 16 oz Recently the charge for a package of 8 oz from zip 01824 to zip 98443 was $21.99 After checking settings and weights, I have no idea what went wrong. Any ideas? The cart runs on 6.7.0, do I need to update? Thanks in advance, Anne User Manual ASP Parameters PHP ParametersAnne Strebe Webhosting & Design ECT carts, Installation, mods & updaters

The problem as having an initial box weight set https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/phphelp/ecommplus/parameters.asp#boxweight For future reference, and in case this sort of thing comes up again, you can temporarily set the following in includes.php $dumpshippingxml=TRUE; and that will give you all the details sent onto the shipper. In this case it was the weight sent on not tallying with the weight set on the products so it had to be coming from elsewhere. That line needs to be removed from the includes file once testing is finished so customers don't see it. Andy Please feel free to review / rate our software

Hi, I am reopening this post. The client told me that the weight of the protective cardboard that she puts with each instructional packet or stencil is 10 grams or 1/2 oz,
My mistake was to put $initialpackweight=3.75; into includes, which was far too much. The cart is working with ounces, which figure do I use instead of 3.75 for 1/2 oz?
Sorry I just canīt come up with the right figure.
