Not sure what the issue is here but I have a customer in Australia that has ordered many times from us. But this time he's having problems completing the order as he gets the message "There are no methods available for your shipping destination". Shipping is USPS and his address is as it has always been in past orders.

Only thing I could think of is he has New South Wales as the region and I told him to change that to NSW.

Any ideas on this? Australia is active and I have had a number of orders from there in the past week.

Hi Walt

I would check his past orders and see what was entered previously for the address. I would also recreate his order with the address to see if it is indeed a problem of the State being used.

Hi, Andy,

Yes his address was on file and he just logged in to his account. Nothing has been changed.

I had a similar issue a short time back but that fellow had left out his region. Once that was set no problem. That's why I'm wondering if somewhere, maybe the USPS site, has changed New South Wales to NSW. Just guessing on that.

I just tested on my demo store and had no problem checking out with New South Wales, maybe it's the weight of the product / shipping methods you have available.

I have all USPS setting for Domestic and International First Class Package. I've been shipping this way for 14 years with no issues.

I won't allow for any other International as the cost is way too high and drives customers away. Also creates more paperwork to ship.

Also, what he's ordered is small compared to what I've shipped to him before. I also break large orders into multiple boxes. This won't weigh more that 1 pound. It's all 3D printed items.

Hi, Andy,

This week I've received orders in from Greece, Mexico and Australia. One of the orders to Australia went to NSW and was over a pound in weight. No problems with that one.

Can you let us know the value you have entered in the weight field for the product purchased?

Andy,

There are 3 pages of items. I check each item and none of the weights are wrong.

The shipment total weight is 2.16 or 2 lbs 3 ounces. I've shipped many larger orders to them in the past.

I offer first class mail International and ship to Australia.
You are welcome to see if you can get a quote on my website

The product I have below is set to 0.6 and I have an initial pack weight on my store of 0.3
So put three of them into a cart and that would be just a bit over 2 pounds.

Phil at Better Pages went in and deleted a couple of IP exempts I had from hackers hitting the website. He thought that might be the issue.

As I said, I've received a number of orders from NSW over the past few months and some almost at heavy as this one with no problems. The thing is I don't know what they are doing at their end and possible entering something that's throwing things off.

It bed time there it will be tomorrow morning our time before he gets to try it again. If all else fails I'll send him a PayPal bill.

I just tried your package on my test store and get a rate of $33.75 for First Class International Package so USPS seem to return a rate with no problem. What happens when you try it on your store with an Australian address?
