Hello! I currently upgraded to ECT 6.8.3 because I was told that the UPS shipping errors I was receiving would be fixed with the new updater. It did not fix the error. I am receiving the below error at checkout when trying to calculate shipping for an order. Has anyone been experiencing this? Does anyone have a fix?

Hello Andy, I ran this test last year to check my site due to PayPal upgrading the communication security protocols. It does acceptTLS1.2. Below are the results but still the shipping calculator does not work. Looking at the link you sent to see if it can help with a solution. Anything else you think it could be?

TLS 1.2 Yes
TLS 1.1 Yes
TLS 1.0 Yes
SSL 3 No
SSL 2 No

Hi Sara, can you ask your host to disable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.0, then try a test order.

Hello Sinbad, they said they are on able to disable as we are on a shared hosting account. Is there code to add to the webconfig to disable TLS1.0 and 1.1?

Hi Sara, haven't heard that before but they should be able to do something so that your webspace uses TLS 1.2 as the first choice, let them know that Paypal and UPS are no longer supporting the older out dated protocols.

Is there any code I can add to the ECT site to disable or make TLS1.2 the default protocol? I have called them again and they once again have told me they are unable to disable on TLS 1.0 a shared hosting plan. They suggested coding the site to do this.

UPS stated that I can use the URL https://temp-onlinetools.ups.com/ups.app/xml/Rate until the end of January. Which file do I need to update https://onlinetools.ups.com/ups.app/xml/Rate to https://temp-onlinetools.ups.com/ups.app/xml/Rate? I need to make this change until I find a solution.

The URL for ups is set in vsadmin/inc/uspsshipping.asp - depending on your version around line 702.
