I got an error while trying to upload csv file. What should I do to fix this?

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8192 bytes) in /home/n21act5/public_html/test321action/vsadmin/inc/incfunctions.php on line 2171

Hi

I would split the csv file into smaller chunks and upload those separately as it seems you are going over the limit, which is usually around 5000 products but may be fewer.

This only happened after I switched hosts. I have always uploaded this size or sometimes even larger. So is it something I need to ask my host to allow?

It may be worth checking with them but I would also try uploading a small file just to be sure that is the problem, I think it probably is though.

My host is not allowing me to have 2gb of memory that I need to upload using the 100 Markets LLC - CSV Product Data Utility

If I reformat the csv to match the sql database, could I just upload directly to the myphpadmin info the Table: products? or is there something else I would need to do as I am very familiar with that as I use it for database programs I run.

Personally I would break the csv file into smaller files.

You can use PHPmyadmin but I would make sure you have a good back up first.

I can't even get it to work with small files, I am looking at the SQL option, and looks like I will have to upload the prodoptions and productimages as separate files. Is there any other tips on uploading directly to sql?

Working directly from the database is not something we generally recommend so we don't have any help files on that specifically. If you're using that third party plugin though, it might be worth contacting the developer directly so see if they have any help on why it's not working for you.

So I am even trying the standard CSV File Upload, and not sure where to start, so I wanted to download a current file to see what it looks like, and this is what downloads to the excel file

Hi, can you try selecting just 1 category then in the drop down on the left select Filtered Inventory.
