Hi all,

I am getting ready to launch a site (Classic Automotive Parts) and need some input. As search engines change (Google) seems daily as of late. I am trying to figure out if it makes sense to have a word press site or add website pages using the built in editor for documentation, latest news and how to articles for daily site additions and to increase traffic to the site. I would prefer to keep all this on the website and not have a separate WordPress site or the like.

I will be doing the typical SEO optimization as this will take time with close to 4k products. As well as advertising, Pay per click campaigns etc...

Trying to get a feel of what everyone is doing to promote their sites and improve their search engine rankings using ECT.

Thanks
J

Hi John

I would highly recommend having a lot of extra content, articles, galleries, news etc but keep it on the same site and make sure you provide some (but not too many) links to your products and categories from the articles. You don't necessarily need to use Wordpress but keep all content well structured, using breadcrumb navigation at the top and links to each of the pages.
