Hello all;
For what ever reason, MY (mine only, it seems) computer is throwing the error seen below. Access to the site via ANY other computer/phone/iPad or network or even via my phone works great.

Try yourself? Let me know?

Very darn strange. New one on me.

Reset Router and WIFI Router. Dumped all the caches did all the "internet" tricks I could find, and sadly, no joy. Disabled Fire Wall etc.

Any fix ideas you may have come up would be much appreciated.

Error message was/is

The remote computer isn’t responding to connections on port 443, possibly due to firewall or security policy settings, or because it might be temporarily unavailable.
Windows couldn’t find any problems with the firewall on your computer.

But as said, every other computer seems to have access, including my phone, via data.

Hi Dan

It works fine for me. Does using a different browser make a difference?

Hi Andy.

Once again I want to thank you for your quick response.

The results were the same no matter which browser.

[red]SOLVED[/red]

Literally as I was typing, the ISP called me.
"Because of the high volume of access attempts, our servers had banned your IP as part of our security protocols. This happens automatically. But we have now allowed your IP to have permanent access."
"Sorry for any inconvenience."

Although this cost me two days of work time, I think it might be a good idea if they would have checked.

Maybe this should be left posted for others who may go crashing into their ISP's automated security protocols.
Or if it is such a rookie error, I can take it down if you wish.

Thanks all;

Dan

I have triggered something similar before and after about 4 hours, I can access the site again. I am pretty sure I triggered something with my internet service provider.
Good to know.

Asked around to some of my friends (I really do have some honest) They said that usually they start the same "fixes" that I did.They go through all the turmoil and finally give up. Then before they call for big time help such as the good folks here or god forbid the ISP, they try again one more time and... boom they are on. So they just assume it must have been one of the fixes. No one thinks they would be "banned" from their own website by the ISP.

So yup, from now on, it will be the very first thing I would check.
