Customer custom fiels

It works OK when the customer creates an account but then it is not visible anymore in the account details, in case the customer needs to edit it. JPK

I would really like customers to be able to purchase directly VAT free once their account has been validated by us. Is there no way to show and edit the $extraclientfield1 in the account details ?
