Im starting to see sites Ive surfed on have a popup with the text for cookies. To opt in or out, Im assuming this is for GDPR. Is this something that will be incorporated into a future version or ECT?

I think that is actually from the "cookie Directive" from a couple of years ago. It's not entirely clear (like most things GDPR related) that an opt-in for cookies is required.
