If a product has options and I try to add it to the cart, I get an error: Please choose from the available product options. It only happens if the default option is left as the choice. If I choose another option, it adds to the cart as it should. Can't figure out why.

I see it has to do with Product Options settings. Force Selection is used. If I add No Default and "Please Select" Line, it works. Now the real question. I have over 1,000 product options. Can I bulk edit these settings?

There isn't a bulk feature for the options although that may available as a third party plugin.
