In the order admin page:

When changing the order status I get a button to save to the new status. But when I change some text in the Status Info or Private Order Status Field I do not get a button for saving these changes. Would be very convenient.
Now I have to re-enter the page in edit mode to be able to change such information.

Yes this is working, but when I did a copy and paste in to the field the button did not show. But when I clicked the order button and reopened the order again my text is there so it must have been stored anyway.

Did a test in several other orders and all seems to be working correctly. So maybe a temporary glitch?

Hi Andy,

Today it happened again that the update button is not showing. I managed to repeat this in another order.

I wanted to paste a bit of text in to the private order status field so I did Ctrl-V to paste the bit of text I wanted to add. When doing so the update button is not showing. As soon as I start typing extra text the button shows.

So it is not a glitch but a consequence of how Windows or the browser handles pasting of text in a textfield.

That is how it would work, you would need to click in the field after copying and pasting and add a full stop or whatever to get the update button - a simple copy & paste wouldn't trigger it.
