We have completed the removal of extensions to make our site more SEO friendly however my SEO people are having a heart attack.

Now that it is done we have a page that appears as follows:

https://www.sleeprestfully.com/products/Philips-Respironics-SimplyGo-Mini-Portable-Oxygen-Concentrator/

This is just want we want however you can take the same URL and add an ".ASP" to it as follows:

https://www.sleeprestfully.xxx/products/Philips-Respironics-SimplyGo-Mini-Portable-Oxygen-Concentrator.asp

and you have a second page that is going to be crawled by google. Since we now have duplicate pages Google will see this and demote our site significantly for duplicate content.

How do we solve this issue?

Since Andy and the guys/girls created this new system I was hoping they had a solution that did not involve adding code to several thousand pages.

This page, and I'll change the URL so it doesn't get picked up, is your all products page

and won't be linked anywhere on your site so won't cause any issues, you could use any example eg https://www.sleeprestfully.xxx/products/Philips.asp

It's not an issue as they don't really exist and can't be indexed unless you link to them which I assume you won't.
