Hi trying to change the main Category titles the ones in which the sub catagories go in as when you open them in google it just says cat 1 or cat 2 not what the cat is like homewares or gifts etc

also need to understand the Page Title Tag (Optional):
Meta Description (Optional):
Category URL (Optional
and what to put in there

You probably wouldn't want to use the Category URL Optional field but the page title and meta description you can either do on a page by page basis or use the dynamic features explained in the help there.

sorry andy not explained myself very well

in the main store admin in the categories section it allows you to add categories

and you add them to a main category this is what I want to name

I have sorted the sub categories as they have a page

but cannot find the place to change it

There's nothing else to do for that feature, you can't change the name of categories.asp

so for my website

the home category for any group of catagories has to remain http://www.curiosity-corner.com/categories.asp?cat=3 when it is the steiff bears group

click the link visit the page to see what I mean

The internal navigation will use the category name, try here on any category http://www.curiosity-corner.com/categories.asp - any link you have set up manually will need to be changed to the new format.
