Database Connect Error (1040) Too many connections

Posted - 07/07/2018 : 13:03:42 Database Connect Error (1040) Too many connections please help the shopping cart is running way too may sql quesries and my host said its using cpu at 200% so my site is up and down offline constantly....how do I go about fixing this? here is sample of log files: www: PHP Warning: mysqli::mysqli(): (08004/1040): Too many connections in /var/www/steenent.com/vsadmin/db_conn_open.php on line 14
