When you say "membership" would this be a membership to allow access to your site, or a subscription based product that you refill on a given interval?

A subscription site. People pay to access the membership site so that they can view pages and watch videos. I also need someway to restrict public views to the videos but am trying to avoid having to pay for the bandwidth. So i was wondering if it is possible to load the videos to youtube and make it private but then link to the video from the membership site.

There is a digital download plugin offered here, and perhaps you offer the videos as a download?

Years ago, I helped a friend setup a site that was password protected. At the time, we found a host that catered to this and they already offered this functionality.
I am guessing there are plenty to scripts out there with varying degrees of effectiveness, but I haven't seen this topic come up on the forum that I recall.
