I am trying to place a slider on my home page. I have followed the instructions and checked all coding is where it needs to be, but the slider will not display, i just get 3 dots where the slider should appear?

Web site - www.hosltd.net

Hi Brad
I think this would be the first thing to look at. Where the slider is defined there seem to be references to images such as...
images/frontpagesliderimages/early_years_classroom_furniture
But those do not exist on the server. Can you check what that image name should be (they would normally have an extension like .jpg, .gif or something like that)

Hi Vince

Put the .jpg at the end of the image names and they now appear on the web site, however, not as a slider?

Ive changed the position of the slider and changed it to slider 3 option. The pictures are sliding as required, but i have no left right arrows and the caption at the bottom is not formatting correctly?

Hi Brad
In the page source I see a reference to...
<link href="slider3.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
That would put the slider css file in the root of your site, but it doesn't exist. I think either uploading that to the root or setting the correct location would sort this out.

It should be to wherever you have uploaded the slider3.css file. Or did that not come with the slider installation files?

I have a slider3.css in my css folder? but all i have in the slider download file is the 3 slider.css files, instructions and demo links? I follwoed the instruction to load the script coding before the close of the main header on the page i want it to appear and then I copied the slider3 code on the same page at the point i wish the slider to appear! I checked that i had the reponsiveslides.min.js in my js folder, which i do!

ok, so you want to change this...
<link href="slider3.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
...to this...
<link href="css/slider3.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
