Hi,

I updated to 6.9.4 on the website that starts with stainless in Cool links in my profile and now I am getting errors when I try
to enter the categories section of the admin. Sometimes it will not let me view the categories and just gives a 500
error and sometimes I can see the categories and even add a category, but it always gives me a 500 error when I
try to delete a category.

I used to know how to do detailed error messages, but the best I can get is

"An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator.
If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error."

where the click here take me to a site about classic asp on the server.

Thanks

EDIT I did find this in the logs

POST /vsadmin/admincats.asp |6|800a000d|Type_mismatch:_'GetRecordset' HTTP/1.1

First thing I would do is Update the site again.

Marks right, anytime you see an error with the word "mismatch" right after updating, that's a good indicator that the database and files might be on two different versions.
Be sure you ran the updatestore.asp script in your browser too.
There is no harm in going through the entire update process again to be sure all steps went through correctly.
