When you enter an order manually (version 7.0), if you don't choose a shipping option or copy address from billing to shipping before saving, then it doesn't give you a shipping address in the printable invoice/packing slip.

On the older version you didn't have to choose a shipping method. We have a default shipping method set to Fedex and autobilltoship set to TRUE in vsadmin.

I've been using the cart for 10 years and never saw the billing auto copy over to shipping, on orders manually entered in the admin, unless we clicked the "copy from billing".
I also have that parameter set. Are you sure that was working before?

Likewise for the auto selection of shipping. Although I can't be sure on that one because I may have a different shipping setup than you.

I may be explaining it wrong. I don't enter orders, I'm just the developer.
We set up ECT in 2004 on this site, and they've entered over 200,000 orders manually since then. Now it's "different" and they're not liking the new version.
Here are some emails that they've sent me.
They're talking about the printable packing slips when they mention the shipping box. (Top right Shipping Details). They have sticker labels that they use to peel and stick on the packages in that area. They just want the Shipping Method to be automatically set to FedEx so that they don't have to choose one every time. It's just an extra step for them that they don't want to do, because they some time enter 100 orders in a day manually, and if they forget to click the box then they have to go back in and redo it

About 50% of our orders we manually enter in vsadmin….when we manually enter them the entire shipping box below does not show up…the only way it will show up is if we select a shipping method (ie: fedex/UPS). Can you overwrite this to always show the shipping box so we don’t have to select a shipping method. It automatically shows up on orders processed through the website (and no shipping method is selected like the example below)….. but orders we manually enter it doesn’t automatically show up we have to select a shipping method….please advise.

Trying to avoid all the extra clicks for this to automatically show up…..that shipping block needs to show up all the time….we don’t want to have to create additional steps/clicks to make it appear….needs to be seamless and show up everytime.
