I am in the process of repairing my website from wp hack and seem to be missing some css or other info. When I add an item to the cart, the page that pops up doesn't have a white background and is just clear. making it hard to see what is being added to cart
Then Cart is not laid out normally as well

Hi

First thing I would check is that you have linked to and uploaded ectcart.css

Now when the customer goes to cart and clicks checkout, it just goes back to the cart. I also updated my website to https if that makes a difference, but need to get it up and running

Can you check the troubleshooting here https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/email-help.asp - are you using PHPmailer?

I am using wordpress and my includes looks different. How do i modify these for wordpress

$usemailer='phpmailer';
$smtphost='smtphostname'; // will usually be 'mail.yourbusiness.com';
$smtpusername='smtpuser'; // will be your business email address, the same as you entered in the ECT admin panel Main Settings page. // your email account Password.
$smtppassword='smtppassword';
$smtpport=587;
$emailfromname="Your Business Name"; // without this, the email message will be received as From : Root User.

You have just updated haven't you? Those settings are not required in includes.php after 6.94 and are set in the main admin settings page.

so why did you send me the link to try it, I am still not getting any emails from my store, but getting paypal alerts so I know when there is an order, but I am sure my customers are not getting an email reciept. I am just wanting to get this working, and if I need to talk to my host to make sure things are set right on there end, I need to know what to make sure is right. I am not even sure if my software is complete, so maybe I am missing files or old files mixed with new. I had to use a save old version with the hack, and then upgraded to 7. I also use a CSV upload program from 100markets, and that is no longer working as well. The program seems to upload the csv and then stalls during initializing and never goes any farther. I am just so frustrated that I cant use the program as designed, and about ready to try to find something else that will match my needs.

I sent the link as it covers general email troubleshooting. I also wanted to check if you were using phpmailer as I really don't know your set up.

If you have updated and your host suggests using phpmailer you would enter the details in the main admin settings rather than includes.php

Sorry, I missed the bit about the csv file upload - have you mailed the developer - you can do that through the forum and see if they have an updated version.

Yes I have contacted them and they are on vacation right now, so will just have to wait. Is there someone I can hire to help me with the issues I am having with the email issue? I am just frustrated that this isn't working.

I couldn't find anything on their support site, in fact it was all a bit odd there to be honest.

The whole support staff, can't be on vacation though can they?

What you need to ask is if phpmailer is supported and if so you need the following details (some of which you probably already know)

SMTP Username:
SMTP Password:
SMTP Host:
SMTP Port:
SMTP Secure: SSL or TLS?

Those would then be entered into the main admin settings of your control panel - you wouldn't need anything related to that in includes.php.

I took a very quick look at your site and noticed there's no call to the file ectcart.js although it is present on the server - https://www.321actionvideo.com/js/ectcart.js

So that needs to be added first - https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=110209

So if you're still receiving orders it does sound like you haven't uploaded all the updater files, if you had they wouldn't be able to add to cart.
Can you check in the main settings of the admin and see if the phpmailer function is present in there? There should be a drop down to use it so you can enter your username and password etc.

If it isn't i would apply the updater once more.

If you need any help just email me and we'll go from there.

I think we got that, somehow I was showing 7.0, but didnt have the correct files and the script in the header as well, I think I fixed it, not sure but I am getting emails now. I will wait for 100markets to get back from vac to help with the csv file uploader that I use as well and well be good to go.

I'm still not able to add to cart on testing because you're still missing this line on all your pages - <script type="text/javascript" src="js/ectcart.js"></script>
