So I spent this morning using the CSV upload to add 2,000+ products to a site's Access database with the intent of upsizing it to MSSQL after I made sure everything was all set. I chunked the product uploads into several CSV files and asked the site to not stop on errors.

Well, apparently it didn't like a few of the uploads on the last sheet. Now I have a site that just churns attempting to load any page. I have FTP'd the database to my local machine and used the JET.EXE file from Microsoft to compact and repair it, but no luck.

Without Access on my local machine I'm not sure what I need to do to fix the site.

Any database gurus on here able to take a peek? I'm willing to pay you for time spent helping me cure this!

Hi Bill

Maybe a quicker and cheaper solution would be to get a back up from your host - is that a possibility?

Hi Bill,
If you don't have any luck with a backup from the host send me a zipped copy of the access database from the server and I'll take a look for you.

send it to phil at bettapages dot com along with FTP details please. (I won't make any changes to existing files or the database on the server - I'll just upload the renamed database and point the connection file to it as a test)

Thank you, Phil! I got a zipped copy of the back up from 8 PM last night and the site is back up and running. Now to comb through the product upload sheet to see where I'm running into trouble!
