Hi Andy. There is a responsive cart design you have called The Gadget Store. We actually bought it but changed our design since and due to logo issues we're considering going back to the Gadget dedign.

Couple of questions. Is it possible to switch the menu on the right to the left side?

Also, what's involved in me switching back to that design? Pretty sure I still have the original files, but will need to check.

Thanks much in advance.

Hi Dano

I think you would be much better off trying to sort out any logo issues to be honest. Moving the menu and then having it display nicely on mobiles would require a bit of work really and your current site is looking pretty smart I thought.

Hi Andy, what is involved in my switching to the Gadget design? We already purchased it and pretty sure have the files.
For our company and logo I think the Gadget store one is going to work much better

It would take more than a few css tweaks for the menu as it would be a structural change. Fixing any logo issues would be far simpler.

Hi Andy, I think we're not on the same page:).

What I want to do is to switch our current design with
this one that you guys have.

We bought it awhile back and still have the files.

Oh ok gotcha, actually I'm good
With leaving the menu alone.

If I want to swtitch back to the Gadget
Design is there anything special I need to do? Or do I just replace the files? or is there a
tutorial/instructions here?

thanks again

There's no tutorial as it would depend on the two designs. I can't think of any special instructions as you'll see what needs changing once the new files are up.

Hi, so here is what we would like to do if possible, is to get a replacement Design of
this one.

Responsive Design Gadgets Ecomm Plus
License ID 0003rd00grb0088

Will the above Responsive Design work with Dreamweaver CS3 that we have? Noticed under Dreamweaver
there is the same Design but it is a little different and we like this one above a lot better.

That being said, we really like the one above, Responsive Design Gadgets Ecomm Plus
License ID 0003rd00grb0088 since it have a blue background and we like the text
font and design a little better.

If that will work with DW we would like to purchase it. Would the price then be 79.00?

Thanks in advance for any help. We would like to most likely make the purchase this weekend
so we can get our site up and working again if possible...

That will be editable in CS3 and getting the replacement software will be fine. Once you have purchased we'll send the file on via email as the process isn't completely automatic.

Once you have the file on your desktop, right click and choose rename and change the extension from .pdf to .zip.

If that doesn't work for you, send me an email and we'll find an alternative method of getting the file to you.

Hi, I just replaced files on our server but am getting this message when attempting
to pull up our site. Does anyone know what I need to do? is this something I need to
contact our server host 1and1.com about or something I can fix myself?

need to set your database connection in vsadmin/db_conn_open.php

Hi just a quick question hopefully. On our site I tried to make
a link to go to one of our categories. I called the text "Test Category".

It works ok and links to one of the categories but I've noticed the text
was blue before I linked it, now its dark text. Anyway to fix that so it
still remains blue?

I assume that's the setting for the visited state for the link, probably a.ectlink:visited in your css file.

Hi Andy, do you mean I'd need to add the line a.ectlink:visited to css?

Sorry, I meant look in your css file for that and check the color set.

In ectstyle.css the original css for the store generated links looks like this

/*Internal store naviagtion*/
a.ectlink:link {
color: #4890DA;
text-decoration: none;
}

a.ectlink:visited {
color: #4890DA;
text-decoration: none;
}

a.ectlink:active {
color: #4890DA;
text-decoration: none;
}

a.ectlink:hover {
color: #666;
text-decoration: none;
}

although of course that may have been edited since.

For non-store generated links that is in style.css

a:link {
color: #42413C;
text-decoration: underline;
}

a:visited {
color: #6E6C64;
text-decoration: underline;
}

a:hover, a:active, a:focus {
text-decoration: none;
}
