Is there something that ECT has to connect to United Parcel Service (UPS) to validate an address and suggest a correct one for a customer during checkout? Also there are no checks on the fields for zip code and telephone number, so a customer can put in a 2-digit zip or telephone number and they can check out. Can I adjust to this to 5 digit zip and 10 digit telephone requirements to cut down on shipping problems.
Yes i read before posting. i checked your site out so that's cool. Thanks. I was looking at UPS API integration and see how diffcult that is to configure without modifying core files.
The UPS API is will require a strong skillset to implement. USPS is worse. I studied them all before the Smartystreets solution. I looked at all of them for weeks. Smartystreets pulls data from several sources and constantly updates their database. I have no faith in UPS updating their address verification database on a regular basis.
I don't believe UPS has an API that will suggest correct addresses like the smartystreets. Particularly suite and apartment numbers.
