ASP v6.8.5 MySQL. In the past week or so, the site is taking forever to load, about 2 minutes. I ran process of elimination tests and narrowed it down to any includes that call on information from the database, and seemingly anything related to the categories section. Any thoughts on why this would suddenly happen? There have been no changes to the site aside from removing G+ links. Nor are any of the external scripts, e.g. Google analytics, causing the problem. But as I said, I did some process of elimination tests and it really does seem to be only when it calls information from the categories table.

Hosting with Servelink? They have been migrating sites this past week. I had some upload issues, after rebooting the router the issues disappeared. I don’t think it was Servelink but I do think it’s Google upload and sync, I paused that and all seems fine now.

Hi Marshall

Was this the site that you reported a sql problem with a while back? If so, there is now a check on the error if you add debugmode=TRUE - you would need the latest 6.9.4 or 7.0.1 version though.

Problem solved. Thanks to my process of elimination tests, it was narrowed down to something in the categories. Turns out, there was a script injection in one of the category descriptions. Not sure where it came from, but once removed, everything went back to normal.
