We had the same issue yesterday, seems to be running normal today. Hopefully customers come back and try again!

For the orders we did receive late in the day yesterday, the PayPal payments were not posting back to the site (no ipn). Manually attached those today, haven't seen another order come thru yet today, so don't know if that issue is fixed.

Mine seems to be working again also. Same issues as others stated above.

I just noticed in my Admin Home panel it shows there is a new recommended version available: v6.9.4

... But I'm on v7.0.1

I checked my incfunctions file on the server and it shows v7.0.1

Should I run the updatestore.php file again?

Hi Patrick

I think that would be a good idea as your files are on 7.0.1

Good catch, Patrick.

We're on v6.9.4 and seem to also have an erroneous warning (screen shot below).

Can anyone suggest our next steps to troubleshoot? Thanks for this.

I just ran the updatestore.php file again and that warning went away.

I'm hearing that a lot of web hosting companies are seeing intermittent MySQL errors because of a faulty update from Imunify360, a Linux security package listed in ServeLink marketing materials.

Seems like an impossible choice: the web host can deploy software updates too soon, before others discover the bugs, and be the first to crash; or they can deploy the updates too late, after bad guys find security holes, and be the first to get hacked. :-(

Don't know where you heard that, but it's right on the money. These 'faulty update packages' were auto-deployed (not something we decide in this case) at 4.15am yesterday and caused random breakages of MySQL connections. There's a lot of moving parts and it took all day to figure out what had happened and how, and roll back those updates without trashing anything of importance. It wasn't a good day

Peter,

We appreciate all what you and your company do. Even with glitches every once in a while (very rare) it is still the BEST hosting company I have ever used. Wished I would have found you years ago. I guess that just makes me appreciate you more now.

Keep up the great work and no hard feelings from me.

Andy / Patrick, to get rid of the faulty update warning in the Admin page, should we a) only upload and run 'updatestore.php' again, or b) upload and overwrite all the files in the update package and then run 'updatestore.php'?

Thanks in advance for confirming this.

Your files will be on the correct version so just in this case you would only need to run updatestore.php in your browser.
