Currently running ECT PHP version 7.0.1.

On the 1st page of the checkout process where the customer reviews their shopping basket contents the default country for Shipping is set to United Kingdom.

If the customer then proceeds to the 2nd page of the checkout where they enter their name and address details and without changing the default country from United Kingdom then they have to "Please Select" the country again from the drop down list of available countries.

But if the customer changes the country from the default setting of United Kingdom then the selected country is automatically carried across and populated in the relevant country field of the name and address screen of the second page.

Is it possible to get the country including an unchanged default setting of "United Kingdom" automatically carried across and populated to the name and address screen?

I don't think that is possible unless a change is made in the shipping estimator as you say.
