is there a way for me to make a product a package and then set the price of that product.
one product is made up of several other products, so I'd like to use the inventory of the small products to make sure that the components of the package is available, but be able to just set a solid price for the package.

You can set a fixed price on a package, no problem there.

i'm running Ecommerce PlusASP v6.8.5, but will update this weekend.
Is that something that is fixed in the newer version, because it keeps changing my prices of the package to the total of the components.

I'll double check that for you but is it with the price set on the package product?

It looks like when I click upgrade packages, or make a change to a product, it changes the prices of ALL package items to the total price of the components of the price.

Ahhhh...that would be the case. Can you change the package price after that if required?

I updated the price, then when I change the stock of any of the components of the package, it changes the price of all the package items again, but only those that use that specific part.

That is the way it is set up to work that the stock and price comes from the package items. The only way to do what you need is to update the package price after you make any changes.
