Hi,

I am using Braintree demo account in order to process a test order. I used a test card which suppose to decline the payment. After processing the order I was getting the message "Processor Declined" on thanks.php page. the order is registered in vsadmin as unauthorized. I assume all unprocessed or declined orders must go to sorry.php page.

The sorry page is no longer used so any declined orders would be reported on the thanks page so that sounds like it is working as it should.

If now we are using thanks.php page only for both successful and declined transactions, how would I add customer messages in case of fail transaction.

For example I would like to display following message:

Your transaction has not been completed.
You see this page because...
There is an error in your recent purchase due to a technical problem. At this time your credit card is not charged and your order has not been processed. Please confirm with your bank if your card was declined OR place the order again OR make a telephone order.

The standard message is

Sorry, there seemed to be an error !

If you need any help with your purchase, then please be sure to contact us.

You can edit that in languagefile_en.php and add it to includes.php so it doesn't get overwritten by updaters.
