We automatically update our stock numbers twice a day using a CSV file upload but when something has been out of stock and the customer does a notify me when back in stock request, when the item comes back into stock it is not firing out the email to them. Any ideas why please?
Yes it does, but we don't normally know what has come back into stock as it is automated. I just assumed that when the stock was updated (albeit by the CSV file) that it would also send out a notification.
I'm pretty sure that is triggered by the submit on the product admin page but you can manually send stock notifications by clicking on the Send All Stock Notifications after you upload the csv file https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/stock_management.asp
