Can't seem to be able to find the script to run to sort the categories alphabetically in the adminprods.php categories dropdown list. Where would I find this? Thanks.

No. I'm not finding the script. This is not for customers. This is for when adding a product to a category in the adminprods.php page. The dropdown list that lists all the cart categories. IN THE ADMIN.

Hi Bob, I am quite sure that the script Andy pointed you to is for the back end rather than customer (front end) sort.

The script says: "This script is designed to update your store product orderings. It can also be used to split first and last names."

Seems as if this is for PRODUCT ORDERING not CATEGORY ORDERING

Don't want to run the wrong script and make a mess of things.

Can you verify that "updatestore.php" is the correct one for category ordering in the admin.

Database utility script
We have created a script that will update your database product and / or category ordering. You can set your product ordering by product name, id, sales quantity price and so on. Probably the most interesting of these is the ordering by sales quantity so you can put your best selling products first.

You can set the category ordering alphabetically ascending and descending which can be useful for those that have many categories and don't want to set the ordering manually.
