I am ready to test my new, responsive website. I have set up a separate folder on my server to hold all of the new files while I work on them. I also created a new database that will be for the new website [different name, user, etc], added that information to my new install with db_conn_open.

My question is this: if I run createdb from my new, isolated directory will it ONLY effect the new install in its directory or will it effect my "regular" live database as well?

My concern is that I do not change my old, live database in any way at this time.

Hi Ken

If you have set up a new database and run createdb.php with the settings in db_conn_open.php using the credentials for that new database, the live site will remain unaffected.
