Occasionally we have a product review that we don't want to approve but would like to keep for reference.

But if a you submit an unapproved review, it still shows in View Ratings (green) as pending in Admin.

Would be handy if there was a way around this.

Steve, we sometimes have this issue too.

This doesn't occur very often, so our workaround has been to copy and paste the Review fields into a text file (like the example below), save the file, and delete the review. We can refer to the file in the unlikely event that we ever want to manually recreate the review.

The file looks like:

Yes this is what we do too but seems like an unnecessary cut and paste.

My point really was that if you press submit whilst unapproved, nothing happens. It just stays waiting to be approved.

Why can’t you submit a review as unapproved and it’s simply logged in the database as unapproved and so not displayed?

So what we really need is another status, like PENDING.
PENDING is a new or uncategorized status.
UNAPPROVED is a status that does not show on the site.

I would like to have a new status for reviews.
