We've got a couple of accounts who have been getting Google Search Console "Product" errors claiming the products are missing schema data on product pages: aggregateRating, availability, brand, description, image, Missing product ID, offers, priceValidUntil, review, sku, url.

The info bubble says they are non-required and non-critical errors, but that "rich results with warnings can still be shown in search results but might not be eligible for all rich result features.", and isn't that one of the reasons for using the schema code in the first place?

We've confirmed a number of the errors with Googles Schema testing tool.

Because the problems are reported for a majority of products on both sites, I wanted to make sure whether or not it's an error we need to be concerned with.

Thanks!

Not required, but recommended and it doesn't seem like it would be hard to provide as most all that information is readily available:

The url field is recommended. Please provide a value if available.

The aggregateRating field is recommended. Please provide a value if available.

The brand field is recommended. Please provide a value if available.

The image field is recommended. Please provide a value if available.

The review field is recommended. Please provide a value if available.

The sku field is recommended. Please provide a value if available.

Google going Lady GaGa changing stuff yet again, for very questionable (practically zero ) upside for website owners.

url is provided in <head> as <link rel="canonical"> and <meta property="og:url">. So why does that need to be repeated as structured data yet again !

description is there, even though it happens to be the "long description".
And in the <head> there is <meta name="Description"> (the proper short description.)

image is there.

review and aggregateRating is there when a Review appears. (so why is that a "warning" when there are no reviews?)

If the Ecommerce Templates team were ever going to update any structured data rich snippet code, then you would probably generate the whole lot in the <head> in the Google recommended JSON-LD format now.

And on a related note, I'm getting a similar error from Google about "Invalid value type for field 'offers' "

I don't have any offers set up, but in the page code, there's a URL (see code below) that sends me to a page of definitions. Not sure why this is present and I'm also not sure what, if anything, should be done about it. Any thoughts?

<div class="detailprice" itemprop="offers" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Offer">

Edit -- Okay, I see this has been discussed in the Suggestions forum -- https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=111674&SearchTerms=schema

Hi DeeAnna

That's right, if you'd like to add any comments here https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=111674 we can keep it in one place and fresh in the list of suggestions.
