When making a change to the "main.dwt" the only file that is being updated is the default.asp. The rest in the log shows "skipped". What would be causing this and how would I solve. Thank you.

I have seen this before. With Expression Web open, drag the dwt file into the store root and agree to update paths. Then try an edit.

Thank you gentleman. After changing the location of the dwt file and the location on pages it works.

I have a rather nitpicky problem that I assume relates to my project.dwt file. I am using v7.0.4 with design reponsive-asp-lifestyle. On sidebar1 I have an image showing payment types accepted, above .js scripts for SecureTrust and Authorize.Net. The image is the same width as the sidebar, 170px, but there is a white area to the left of it that I can't figure out how to remove. I checked padding, but it only seems to have that on the bottom. I also have another template tables.dwt with .html files rather than .asp, same issue. Please let me know any suggestions.

I looked at your site and the white space on the left of the image is actually part of the image so it would need to be cropped to get rid of that.
