I was wondering if there was a way to verify a new customer email address prior to allowing them an account an to order. We have the typical hackers testing the site for weaknesses and I want to eliminate as much of the fake email addresses and accounts as I can.

Second, is there a way to verify addresses prior to shipping?

There isn't a way to verify an email address but I'm not sure how that could be done really.

You can use the IP address and Google maps to check addresses. There are also sites out there that will give you more information about an address.
