ECT Account
For the currency converter access to rates was provided by the test login and password, "testuser" and "testpw" but this is going to be phased out soon and you will be required to set up and ECT Account which will also be used for the App Store Notifications. Registration is very simple, you can find the account page here...

Other New Features
For the PHP version of the cart, the Database Utility page can now detect certain duplicate indexes and allow you to remove them. This can improve the efficiency of your database and therefore of your store.

Bug Fixes and Improvements
For those using Authorize.net with the new v7.0 update the customer's IP address was not being passed on to the payment processor. This means that instead of using the customer's IP address, the server address was being used instead. Fraud filters based on the IP would then stop payments from processing because of IP velocity filters.

The Order Name in Authorize.net transactions would have spaces replaced by "+" signs and this has been resolved.

The Customer Phone Number is now passed on to Authorize.net so that it will automatically populate the customer details form.

PayPal Express transactions could have a problem when Email Address Verification was turned on as the customer would be redirected back to the Customer Details page to add the verification email and this has now been fixed.

Payment Provider Radion buttons now have a label so any part of the radio or payment method name can be clicked to select the payment option.

Pages which are restricted by login level were forwarding to the cart page for login but login on the cart page is no longer the correct way to login using the cart. Now the customer is forwarded to the Client Login page and the Login Details popup will automatically display.

A problem has been fixed where when a customer sets an invalid Zip Code using the Shipping Estimator, the problem could be reported twice, once after the other.

The v7.0 line is going to be the new Stability Version going forward. No new features are going to be added to the v7.0 version, but will be added to the new v7.1 Advanced Release from now on. The v7.0 Stability Release will still get bug fixes and security updates.

We've released a Hotfix today to resolve the following issues.

These issues have also been fixed in the v7.1.0 release, for which the release notes will be posted shortly.

Authorize.net AIM transactions should now correctly report if an order is Pending due to the Fraud Detection Suite.

The date layout for those using the iPhone App should now be improved. Also, currency symbols are now correctly sent for the Dashboard view. Please note you now need version 1.1 of the app which should be available on the App Store.

A problem has been fixed where discounts could show as Expired in the admin section even if they were actually currently active.

The filtered stock inventory will now follow the selected category and search options.
