What is the purpose of the "Send All Stock Notifications" button when it's supposed to be sending them automatically?

You can manually send stock notifications by clicking on the Send All Stock Notifications after you upload the CSV file, the following may help [url]https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/stock_management.asp[/url]

It's not a feature that I've ever used but Andy would be able to throw more light on this.
